Dr. Klaus Schenk, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), is responsible for driving Verimatrix’s technology vision and innovation strategy while overseeing the security architecture and advanced technologies that power the company’s product portfolio. With deep expertise spanning video security, cryptography, and cybersecurity, Klaus is passionate about turning ideas into reality and helping keep Verimatrix at the forefront of technology innovation. His journey in video content protection began more than 20 years ago at BetaResearch and later Comvenient.
Prior to joining Verimatrix, Klaus led the development of a DVB smart-card-less conditional access system at Comvenient that was later acquired by Verimatrix and deployed worldwide. This work deepened his expertise in cryptography, secure protocols, and the large-scale deployment of security solutions serving millions of users.
Klaus holds a PhD in Physics from the Technical University München (TUM).
